Brands FALLing for Interactive Video

The leaves are turning, the air is brisk, shops are lined with cold weather coats -- that’s right Autumn is in full force and top brands are rolling out their fall collections with innovative interactive video.

Many online retailers are adopting video as a means to make their products come to life. Everything from 360 videos to how-tos, video is bridging the gap between the computer screen and the brand while offering up a little shopping entertainment!

A few top retailers are taking shoppable video to a whole new level this season with film-like quality production, A-list celebrities and innovative product placement. One minute you’re watching the video for enjoyment, then next you’re coveting a Alexander Wang Clutch with a path to purchase just at your fingertips.

Here are some all-stars of interactive video this fall season:

    • Target’s Falling for You enlisted Hollywood celeb Kristen Bell and is a 3-part short film chalked full of Target merchandise. Target wrapped up the mini-series with a live event in New York City on October 10,2012 -- the perfect marriage of digital media and event marketing.
    • Barneys CO-OP is at it again with their Men’s and Women’s fall videos. Barneys brought their models to life with their Spring 2012 CO-OP videos. The latest release is eye catching and mesmerizing.

I’m told the color of the season is burgundy and who knows how long that will be in style… interactive video is also on trend and the whispers on the street are that it’s here to stay!
