Summit Session Sneak Peek: Assessing the Strengths of Different Product Video Formats

When it comes to video commerce, product videos are “where it’s at” for many retailers.  Yet the product video is still a new concept for nearly all retailers.  They’re not quite TV commercials, but they persuade.  Some are entertaining; others, purely educational.  In our upcoming Video Commerce Summit Session, Assessing the Strengths of Different Product Video Formats, a panel of leading retailers will address how to choose the right format to fit your brand.

The panel will feature the following seasoned retailers:

Lisa Hall – Managing Producer, Patagonia.com

As Managing Producer for Patagonia’s website, Lisa Hall oversees the team who maintains and evolves Patagonia’s online presence, including Patagonia.com, The Footprint Chronicles®, Patagonia mobile apps and its social media efforts.

Scott Anderson – Director, E-Commerce, Vitamin Shoppe

Scott is a B2C and B2B marketing veteran who has been involved in eCommerce since its inception. He. currently runs a $75 MM+ eCommerce P/L for The Vitamin Shoppe, a specialty retailer with 500 stores nationwide.

Jon Schroeder – Video Director, Crutchfield

Drawing from his experience with the Discovery Channel, Jon Schroeder now produces marketing videos focusing on consumer electronics for Crutchfield Corporation.  Jon has shot and edited hundreds of short web videos for Crutchfield which appear on the company’s website, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media outlets.

They will discuss:

  • What went into choosing a format for their product videos and what testing they have done
  • How they made decisions around product video length, quality, and scaling
  • What steps are being taken to integrate the overall brand into the product video format
